A New Chapter for The Met Shop

Welcome to the Met Shop blog!
The Met Shop is a popular Wellington (NZ) shop selling scientific gadgets, toys and games, currently trading online. We are delighted to have been able to adopt the Met Shop with its long history and loyal following. There is now a new website and new ownership but the aims and values of The Met Shop remain the same: We will provide somewhere to find fun and intriguing scientific toys, games and puzzles to educate and entertain.
The original roots of the shop are not lost as we continue to stock weather instruments and their accessories along with science toys and games. There will also be new products introduced as we discover and stock new curiosities with a scientific theme. The shop is online only right now but in time we'd like to re-introduce a physical store so watch this space.
This blog will contain diverse content of a scientific nature. There will be topics to appeal to a wide age range and we aim to have guest contributions to add variety and expertise. We hope that you will follow us and enjoy.
And finally - the inspiration behind our taking on of The Met Shop is my dear parents, who were both tireless educators and practised making learning fun. We dedicate The Met Shop to their memory.
