About Us

The Met Shop has been selling weather instruments and science toys, plus other curiosites, for thirty years, based in differing locations around Wellington City.

 

Our store in Swan Lane, off Cuba Street, Wellington, is open seven days a week: 10 am to 5 pm Monday to Friday; 10 am to 4 pm on Saturday and Sunday.

 

We are a family shop, staffed by Bill Lee, our respected Founder now in his late eighties, Sue and Karen Lee his daughters, Terry McDavitt (Sue's husband) and Martin Lee...one of our Chinese "cousins."  Extra hands come on board at Christmas. And Moana the Met Shop Moa always welcomes customers at the door.
